The Initial Consult

 

We'll set up a meeting with you to discuss your website, but we'll also be hoping to talk about a lot more. To create a website that portrays your brand in the way it should, that functions seamlessly and offers your users the best possible experience we need to know all about your business, what it does and what you are looking for from a new website.

 

The Website Design Proposal

 

Pearl Lemon Design will submit a formal proposal that describes the website we envision building for you.

 

In that proposal, we'll outline each section of the site and describe the interactivity and functionality of the site in detail. This takes a little time but it's an essential step, as it creates a roadmap for both our designers and our technical team. You will be invited to take as much time as you need to review the proposal and decide if you like what you see. Our team will be available to answer any questions you have.

 

Getting Started on Your Beautiful New Website

 

After we have a plan for the web site, we will custom build several mock-ups for the site based on your input. The mock-ups are non-functioning graphical representations of what your site would look like.

 

In addition to design basics like colors, fonts, images, etc. we also keep search engine optimization, browser compatibility, download times, usability and other technical issues in mind. Once you receive them we'll ask you to choose your favorite mock-up and offer your feedback. We're willing to perform two rounds of revisions with mock-ups but often we manage to nail most of it the first time.

 

The Geeky Part

 

While the Pearl Lemon graphic design team is doing their thing at the same time our web developers will be planning and setting up the architecture of your site and building the database schema. You're welcome to be a part of this process, but you might find it terribly boring. Luckily for you, we love this stuff and are OK getting this part done by ourselves.

 

Time for Launch

 

When your new website site is designed and built, and you are satisfied with the finished product, we’ll test it thoroughly. We’ll perform any remaining site revisions then launch it to the world.
